Location: CenturyLink Stadium, Seattle, Washington In another 17 or so days when they open the season vs the Dolphins though, the Seahawks could really be looking like the “Seahawks” team we’ve been expecting. The only other two big names who sound like they won’t play at all are Rawls and tight end Jimmy Graham. You won’t however see rookies Jarran Reed and Nick Vannett, both of whom suffered injuries last week against the Vikings. Also back are defensive tackle Jordan Hill, who many fans are quick to “cut” following his continued missed time while other DTs have stepped up, and fullback Will Tukuafu. Safety Kam Chancellor is expected to play after missing some time with a groin injury. He may suit up and work with the team on the sidelines before the game, but it sounds like he won’t play until the final preseason game, if not Week 1 vs Miami. You won’t see Thomas Rawls out there however. But that could be exactly what’s happening. Meanwhile, Alex Collins needs to have a good game to prove to everyone that he’s not in danger of losing a roster spot to undrafted free agent Troymaine Pope. With a little more work, he’s expected to take over the role as “third down back” in place of Fred Jackson. ![]() The third round pick out of Notre Dame missed a lot of time with a hamstring injury but is set to make his debut. The rest of the offensive line (Mark Glowinski, Justin Britt, and Germain Ifedi) seems set, though they’ll also probably be taking a long look at Jahri Evans and seeing where he fits on the team, if anywhere.įans will also get their first glimpse at running back C.J. During his absence though, Bradley Sowell made some significant progress as a left tackle and could win that job, pushing Garry Gilliam over to the right. Tackle J’Marcus Webb will return to the starting offensive line and presumably be getting his chance to solidify himself on the right side. Not only with starters play into the second half in this week’s “dress rehearsal” for the regular season, but some important names will be suiting up for the Seahawks for the first time this year. The Seattle Seahawks will look a lot more like the “Seattle Seahawks” on Thursday when they take the Dallas Cowboys. ![]()
